Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will conduct examination for regional rural banks in the month of September and November. IBPS RRB Officer scale 1 and Office Assistant exams will be conducted in 2 phases i.e. Preliminary exam and Mains exam. Officer scale 1 and Office Assistant prelims exam will be held on 9, 10, 16, 17, 23rd, 24th September 2017. Officer Scale 1 mains exam will be conducted on 5th November ’17 while office assistant mains will be conducted on 12th November ’17.
IBPS RRB Office Assistant exam 2017 preliminary exams has 2 sections namely reasoning and Quantitative aptitude. There are 40 questions from each section with a total time duration of 45 minutes. Both the sections will have different cutoff marks and there will an overall cutoff mark. You need to clear the sectional cutoff as well as overall cutoff marks in preliminary exam. You can appear for mains once you clear the prelims.
There are many good books available in the market through which you can prepare for both prelims and mains exams. Prelims won’t be too hard if you have daily practice in reasoning and maths. It’s better to have your focus on office assistant mains exams in which you have to score really high marks. Prelims exams won’t be counted in the final merit list.

You need to know that there is no interview for IBPS RRB Office Assistant. You selection will purely depend upon your marks. Merit list will be prepared according to the marks obtained in the Mains exam of office assistant 2017. You can read more about in the notification.
