Staff Selection commission conducts recruitment for Junior engineer post for multiple streams such as Civil engineering, Electrical engineering and Mechanical engineering. The vacancies came in the previous months. If you have filled the form then you must start preparing for the exam as it will be conducted in the month of January between 5th to 8th January 2018.
The junior engineer exam will be conducted in two phases i.e. Paper I and Paper II. Paper 1 will be conducted for screening purposes. The JE Paper I will have 3 sections namely General awareness, General Intelligence and Technical Paper. Hopefully you have already prepared for General Intelligence and General awareness subjects for Paper I which are equally important. The main difficulty in paper I will be to get marks in the technical paper. That’s why we have suggested books for technical paper only. If you score good marks in the technical paper then your confidence will become high for paper II.
The paper I of civil engineering is an objective type paper. There will be negative marking as well. 1/4th marks will be cut for every wrong question. Total marks of the paper is 200 marks. You also need to remember that paper II is a descriptive paper. You should be very good in technicals else you won’t be able to clear the mains exam. It will be purely descriptive. Prepare for technical paper with full strength.
